            Class 2 HGV Driver

             

            Location: Glasgow (G75 0YL)

            Pay: £16.70 per hour

            Contract: Full-time, Permanent 

            (includes weekend work)

             

            About Us

             

            Aberdeen Laundry Services (ALS Group) is a leading textile rental and laundry provider with four strategic sites across Scotland. We pride ourselves on reliable service, high standards and a strong commitment to sustainability, and we’re growing.

             

            The Role

             

            We’re looking for a reliable, skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. You’ll play a key part in getting our products to clients safely and on time, representing the ALS brand on the road every day and helping us deliver on our sustainability goals.

             

            What You’ll Be Doing

            Driving Class 2 HGV vehicles to deliver goods safely and on schedule

            Carrying out pre-journey vehicle checks to meet safety regulations

            Keeping accurate delivery records and completing paperwork

            Following all road traffic regulations and company policies

            Helping with loading and unloading as needed

            Working closely with dispatch and the wider team to coordinate deliveries

            Reporting any vehicle defects or issues promptly

            Working weekends as part of the regular rota

            What We’re Looking For

            A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence

            A valid Driver CPC qualification

            At least 1 year’s experience as an HGV delivery driver

            A strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practice

            Good communication and people skills

            The ability to work independently and as part of a team

            Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting

            The legal right to work in the UK

            Ability to commute reliably to Glasgow G75 0YL (or plans to relocate before starting)
