Summer is officially our busiest season, and June has been a month of milestones — from a new head office to a national award, alongside some brilliant community moments across Aberdeen. Here’s a look back at what’s been happening at Aberdeen Laundry Services.
Welcoming Our Summer Team
As we head into peak season, we’re delighted to welcome our new summer starters on board. And to the wider ALS team — thank you for the hard work and commitment as things ramp up across all our sites.
This month also saw our quarterly Operations Managers meeting, bringing teams together from across our sites to celebrate progress, have honest conversations, and keep pushing for improvement in everything we do.
Out in the Community
June gave us the chance to get involved in two standout local events. We attended the first ever Cadet Adult Recognition Awards, celebrating the volunteers who dedicate their time to inspiring young people across the region. We were also proud to be part of Northfield Academy’s Celebration of Success, recognising the talent coming through right here on our doorstep.
A Proud Achievement: DERS Silver Award
We’re pleased to share that ALS has been awarded Silver under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, presented by Highland RFCA.
This recognition reflects our ongoing, practical support for the Armed Forces community — a commitment that’s built into how we operate, not just a line in a policy document.
New Head Office, New Machinery
June also marked a genuine milestone for the business: we’ve officially moved into our new head office in Mugiemoss, giving our growing team more space and a better working environment.
Alongside the move, a new ironing line is now up and running at Mugiemoss, boosting efficiency for the team and supporting us as demand increases through the summer months.
